"Some people give time, some money, some their skills and connections, some literally give their life's blood. But everyone has something to give." -Barbara Bush
On November 11, four Confirmation candidates and a candidate’s mom from St. Mary’s By the Sea in Narragansett stopped by to serve lunch. Here is what Kasey Babbitt, Taylor Chofay, Grace St. Jean and Thomas Williams had to say about their experience:
“We all were able to realize how thankful we are. Each of us all agreed how much we enjoyed helping people in our community and to see how much they appreciated us and all of our help. We all want to come back and keep helping. We loved talking to everyone and hearing their stories.”
Ah Chew! Not here if we can help it. For the past month we have held flu clinics at Welcome House offered by three interns in the nursing program at URI, Stephanie Hitscherich, Allison Hartman and Elizabeth Pereira under the supervision of Nancy Doyle-Moss, MS, RN, Assoicate Clinical Professor, Bill Harding from South County Hospital, and nurses from Maxim Health Services. Almost all of our guests were vaccinated as were some members of the community who were attending our soup kitchen. Thank You!
